Both Jung's representation and our own emphasize that the causal and synchronistic perspective or reality are complementary, rather than mutually exclusive. Jung maintains that the "coincidence" of synchronistic events occurs because the physical events are of the same quality [shared meaning] as the psychic events and because all are the exponents of one and the same momentary situation.
